About Me

Maya is a bicoastal Israeli-American actress, born in California where she discovered her love for mac and cheese. When she was seven, she moved with her family back to Israel, where she discovered her love for hummus. ​

Growing up, Maya initially thought of pursuing a career as a social worker, like her mom. Her mother rejected the notion immediately, but reconsidered this somewhat "safer" path after she learned Maya would follow her real love and passion instead: acting.
 

Maya received her B.F.A from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and has continued perfecting her craft and creating theater in the amazing New York City. She has performed in various Off-Broadway, and Off-Off Broadway theaters throughout the city, and has been fortunate enough to work with various collaborators, such as NYU and Columbia University MFA students, VidiVici films and director Anthony Onah.

Maya is also an ensemble member of the Award Winning Rising Sun Performance Company, and wakes up every morning with the hope of seeing a pug on the street. Maya's mom wakes up every morning with the hope of Maya pursuing her psychology minor (but remains supportive nonetheless 😉 ).
